"La Nene” grand premiere was gloriously enchanting
The innocent French girl that arrived to visit Peru during the 1950s became a powerful woman. She becomes the most famous prostitute of the era, and all powerful Peruvian politicians knew of her favors.
Peruvian director/actor Fernando Vasquez plays with the past and present, dreamingly transporting the audience through time in his “La Nene” (The Baby). The scenes in the play are close to reality and it is enchanting to follow the story. There are many moments for laughs and many moments for tears, but overall it is a gloriously enchanting experience.
