The
First Peruvian Made Western Series
The
first Peruvian western series, “Luis Pardo, el Bandolero de los
Andes”, is an exciting and intriguing drama based on a real story.
The beauty of the Andean mountains, combined with the real life history of
Luis Pardo, make this history incredible unique.
Luis
Pardo was the Robin Hood from the Andes and his fame and history are being
transferred from the older to new generations. The town of Chiquian, where
he was born, is the center where the governor (Reynaldo Arenas) persecutes
Luis Pardo (Fernando Vasquez).
The
series is focused on Luis Pardo's last year alive, 1908. The governor and
the Peruvian police fail on many occasions to capture Luis Pardo, but the
drama continues with romance, comedy and suspense.
The
series background music contains western Andean flavors, which combined
with the natural beauty of the scenery around Chiquian and the
characterization of well experienced actors make this series a sensory
success. The cities of Lima and Chiquian were the location used to film
the series. Certainly the beauty of the province of Ancash is a big plus
with its mountain scenery and natural beauty.
The
viewing experience will bring back forgotten feelings. One can remember as
a youngster watching western movies and cheering for the good guys. This
series brings back some of those feelings. It is definitely a
must-see series.
The
series has 25 episodes and is produced by Teatro Libre Produccciones.
It will soon air on a Peruvian TV channel.
The

Vásquez, Nidia Bermejo, Carlos Cano, Camila Mc Lennan, Reynaldo
Arenas, Carolina Infante, Pool Gastello, Antonio Arrué, Aidé Cáceres,
