Tula Rodriguez was born in a popular Lima neighborhood called El Agustino. She comes from a poor family and she feels pride talking about her family and origins. She debuts May 3 with her new show Reinas del Mediodía (Midday Queens) shown on Frequencia Latina channel from 1-2:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. The show is a replacement for Gisela Valcárcel's successful
show Alo Gisela (Hello Gisela) that had top ratings for many years.

The comparison of Tula Rodriguez with Blondie Gisela Valcárcel is the talk of all Peruvians. Tula feels pride of her typical Peruvian next door girl looks and doesn't like to be compared with Gisela. "I have my own talent and attributes that make me different," she said.
