Lost Incan
settlement found
An archaeological team examines an ancient
skull unearthed in Peru's Vilcabamba region at a newly discovered mountaintop
site that shows evidence of Inca occupation. The region, populated until 1572,

Pieces of the past are assembled at the
recently discovered Inca settlement in the Andes. Preliminary excavations have
unearthed human remains, stone implements, and pottery.
