(Nov. 20, 2004) PromPeru, the Peruvian  tourism agency, is determined to show more of Peru to the entire world. "Pack your six senses and come to Peru" is what Londoners read in 100 train stations. The campaign was in preparation for the participation in the Travel Mart tourism fair, one of the biggest worldwide, held in London Nov. 8-11. Peru had it biggest participation ever with 40 tour operators.

"If you want to touch yourself, as a human being, come to Peru"......

In the United States, Peruvian President Toledo, helping PromPeru, announced "Peru: The Royal Tour," a one-hour Travel Channel show about unique Peruvian places. Toledo is the host for Travel Channel's Peter Greenberg. The show will be viewed by 350 million people.
It is not easy to talk about Peru and its places because it is hard to describe them. One has to experience them. Although it may seem like a small country, there is a lot to see and feel.

The land of the Incas has so much to offer to the tourist that is looking for adventure and experiences out of the ordinary. For the ones that already have visited Peru, it is hard to describe the country. They can only say that they had such an emotional reaction to their experience and it is an experience that they will never forget.

President Toledo in the show said "If you want to touch yourself as a human being, come to Peru"......

PromPeru statistics show British tourists as the European majority that visits Peru and Americans visiting Peru is increasing rapidly, too. Machu Picchu is one of the choices that many Americans want to visit.

British journal "The Guardian" announced for 2003, in the category of far destinations, Peru was the second favorite destination worldwide.

Wonderlust magazine placed Cuzco as the second most appreciated city by the British tourist.

The future looks bright for increased foreign visitors to Peru in the coming years.
