Maya is a 19-year-old painter with lots of talent. She has been painting since a very young age. Grabbing paper and pencils as a child, she started to draw different portraits of family members or scenes of nature. When she finished high school in Lima, her father wanted her to become a lawyer, but she knew all along that her passion was to paint.

Currently, Maya is a student at the Escuela Nacional de Bellas Artes (National School of Arts) in Lima. For the past two years, her paintings have been sold easily and she continues to improve and surprise with her work. She is preparing an exhibition in Lima late this year, where her work will be seeing and criticized by many people, but she is ready for the
challenge.
