Peru prepares to host America Cup tournament | |

| Stadiums in Arequipa (shown at left), Lima and Chiclayo will be the three primary sites for the main games of the 2004 America Cup Tournament this year. Other stadiums in Tacna, Piura, Trujillo and Cuzco will be sites for preliminary-round games. |

The seven stadiums passed inspection by the South American Confederation of Soccer (CSF). All sites are ideal tourist locations for visitors from other counties with historic and cultural attractions.
Peruvian President Toledo wants the opening of the tournament and the first game to be celebrated in Cuzco. CFS president Nicolas Leoz responded by saying he will do all that is possible to meet Toledo's request and assured that this tournament will be one of the greatest in South America. | |
