Miguel Villalta is one of the players with the most experience in the Peruvian Sub-23 soccer team. He has already played a South American Sub-23 and he is one of the players that coach Paulo Autuori calls to integrate the Peruvian selection team. Miguel plays at Cristal, a top Peruvian soccer team which has played in many international tournaments. He is conscious that in the pre-Olympic
tournament in Chile, the defense needs to be very strong. But he is not afraid of the challenge.
At the game between Argentina and Peru on January 7, he easily shut out top Argentinean soccer player Carlos Tevez. The game ended 0-0.
